	Using a unique fastening device, the barrier posts and rails are locked together during assembly without the use of bolts, screws or welding. When correctly assembled and installed the barrier is capable of withstanding high impact loads without the need for continual repair or replacement. This significant benefit is due to the 'forgiving nature' of the extruded polypropylene from which the barrier is manufactured. On impact the barrier components will bend before returning to their original form and shape rather than remaining permanently distorted or broken. The other significant benefit derived from the barrier components being manufactured from polypropylene is the reduction in maintenance costs. The barrier will not rust or rot, does not need painting or treating and is simple to clean.
